India Vs Westindies Day1 highlights,Kolkata test, Sachin Tendulkar will retire after the second Test against West Indies.

Sachin Tendulkar’s first trip to the crease in his final Test series proved short-lived as the India batsman was dismissed for just 10 against the West Indies in Kolkata.
The party at a celebratory Eden Gardens was put on hold when West Indian off-spinner Shane Shillingford trapped Tendulkar leg before in the first session on the second day of play.
The 40-year-old, who is due to retire after the second Test in Mumbai, was given a rapturous reception as he strode out to the middle with India on 79-3 after the visitors had posted 234.
But he looked shaky and, despite two early boundaries, lasted just 24 balls before Shillingford gained revenge with a spot of role reversal, himself having been caught lbw by Tendulkar on day one.
Virat Kholi was dismissed two overs later with just one run added to India’s score before MS Dhoni (42) and Rohit Sharma steadied the ship, taking the hosts through to 177-6 at drinks.
Sharma, making his first Test appearance, went on to forge a game-changing partnership with Ravichandran Ashwin, hitting an unbeaten 127 to become the 14th Indian to reach a century on debut. Ashwin contributed 92 not out as India reached 354-6 at close of play.
